A sheet of stamp-sized ration coupons for fuel oil in 1 and 5 gallon sizes.

This day in history: on December 7th, 1941, the United States officially entered the Second World War after the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor. To help conserve key resources for the war effort, including food, metal, paper, and rubber, rationing programs were put in place shortly afterward. A limited number of coupons or stamps, which were required to purchase rationed items, were periodically distributed to each household. This document from the SAM archives is an unused sheet of fuel oil coupons.
