The Robert G. Bliss Memorial Auditorium, located on the museum’s third floor, is known by our community as The Bliss Room. Historically, the space has been a beloved community venue where many memorable events have been hosted by community members. The Bliss Room is an ideal space for formal events, wedding receptions, annual meetings, and cultural events. Overlooking Taylor Park and downtown St. Albans, this unique space combines historical charm with modern amenities.

  • Wi-fi and Audio system (wireless or corded microphone, speakers)

  • Kitchen (food storage and warming only)

  • Free parking behind museum and along Church Street

Pricing

2025 Bliss Room Rental Rates

When the space is not booked for museum functions, we consider rental requests. Priority is given to members and nonprofits. Please contact us for a quote for your event using the form below.

Rate varies based on time of day and number of guests. Base rates are:

Monday–Thursday rentals: $350 1/2 day, $750 full day
Friday–Sunday rentals: $500 1/2 day, $1000 full day
Weekend Wedding Package (two hours for setup on Friday, all day use on Saturday, and two hours for cleanup on Sunday): $3000

Museum member discount: 30% off
501(c)3 non-profit organization discount: 25% off

Rental pricing includes the event itself, plus time before and after the event for set-up and cleanup. Renters are expected to wholly execute their own setup and cleanup. We do not offer catering or bar service. Renters holding a catered event are responsible for booking their own licensed and insured caterer and/or bar service.
