On Giving Tuesday, you can make a difference locally and ensure a legacy of support for the preservation of our community history. “Take 5” for the Saint Albans Museum and make a donation ($5, $15, $50 – or any amount) to our annual appeal, or “Take 5” minutes to…
– become a volunteer
– contribute an artifact, photograph, or other materials related to St. Albans history
– commit to writing a “Letter to the Editor” to local/social media sharing what you love most about the Museum
When you “Take 5” for SAM, you directly impact our mission and allow us to provide educational programming for area students and families, to care for our collections and historic building, and to continue to offer historical, cultural, and arts events and activities throughout the year.
Giving Tuesday is a global giving movement that has been built by individuals, families, organizations, businesses and communities in all 50 states and in countries around the world. This year, it falls on November 28. Giving Tuesday harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners to transform how people think about, talk about, and participate in the giving season. It inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they believe in, and help create a better world. #GivingTuesday demonstrates how every act of generosity counts, and that they mean even more when we give together.
The Saint Albans Museum was founded in 1966 (as the Saint Albans Historical Society), and is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history and heritage of Saint Albans and northwest Vermont through programs, exhibitions, performances, and special events. SAM is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization.
