Rail City Raffle

The Saint Albans Museum is pleased to announce a new virtual special event on Friday, September 18, 2020 – the “Rail City Raffle.”
Unfortunately, due to the impact of COVID-19, we cannot host our typical Calcutta benefit dinner this year. Coming together in the Bliss Room for an evening of food and fun – all while celebrating our local history – is certainly a tradition we will miss sharing with you. As a nonprofit community museum, the Calcutta game is SAM’s largest annual fundraiser.
However, you still have an opportunity to support our local history (while keeping socially distant, of course) and win! We invite you to enter our new “Rail City Raffle” – only 100 tickets will be sold:
Grand Prize: $2,000
1st Runner-Up: $750
2nd Runner-Up: $250
Additional Prizes: Museum memberships, books, apparel, and more!
Registration is $100 per ticket and each includes one entry into the raffle, as well as an invitation to the online live drawing and private “from the archives” tour, led by executive director Alex Lehning. This is your chance to go behind the scenes (virtually) for an exclusive look at unique and historic objects and documents in the museum’s collections which are not currently on display.
Your support of the “Rail City Raffle” is what makes our mission to preserve and share community history possible, through both digital and on-site exhibitions, educational programs, arts/music offerings, tours, and other special events.
